In a perfect world, everyone would be able to say goodbye to a loved one before they die. But, in many cases this does not happen. Traumatic deaths always occur suddenly and unexpectedly.
An open-casket viewing gives families one last chance to see their loved one, hold their hand and say goodbye. Is the grief experienced in those tender moments difficult? Absolutely, but it is a very necessary and an extremely beneficial first step in healing.
The desire of Countryside Embalming is to be able to give "The Gift of Goodbye" by making the open-casket viewing a reality and the perceived need for a closed-casket funeral scarce.
